Footography.

New York, Manhattan

Hi,

In my aim to get this blog up and running again I have decided to start with this image. A well known landmark from New York. The Empire State Building. During frequent visits many years ago that was my main subject for my photography. This is one of the images I like the most. It was not made in an ordinary way, let me tell you. It is no secret. I tripped my small camera, a Minox 35, on my foot. Like this illustration below. It was late afternoon and I needed to steady my camera. People passing by was looking at me wondering what I was doing, though this was NY. Nothing surprises. This was the result from four exposures, I think. I think I could not have made it better aiming with my hands and eyes. Or, what do you think? Without metadata on my film I think it was during the late 70´ or early 80´s.

: ) greetings Pelle

Time for blogging

New introduction written in march 2026.

Looking back on my oldest blogs I came upon this, my very first. Created years ago in 2014.  I have decided to republish this text since Fredrik Malmstedt is still a very good friend and recently he overtook my old studio. He is creating a kitchen studio together with his cousin Magnus. A place for education, tasting and festivities. It is called Malmstedt Matstudio. I realized how up to date this old blog still is.

I have not been blogging every week or month, but I realize that I have published a lot of thoughts and images during the years. I am still working with the culinary teams and are having a really good time with my photography. Professional and private.

Here is my very first blog.  Again. Now translated into English.

Hi!

After a lot of thinking I have decided to start blogging. I am a professional photographer and in business since many years. Today perhaps one of a very few with a studio of my own. I photograph a lot of pictures for cookbooks, advertising and editorial . Some of my clients are The Swedish Culinary teams. Seniors and juniors. Swedish National Pastry Team. I studied photography in Solna for Calldick Lundblad. After photography school I attended Beckmans, Art, graphics and advertising school.

I have attended various educations in Sweden and abroad. My first contact with Photoshop was through Image Bank in New York.  When SFF, Swedish Photographers Association,  started authorizing photographers in digital publishing, in 2002, I was there.

Photography is today totally different from when i started out, but it is still so fun and exciting. My blog will be about photography, of course, but not much tips about technique. More about images and other things concerning a professional photographers every day. I will be looking forward, but sometimes also in the other direction. You should always look both ways, I think.

Welcome!
