Perhaps there will be a calender for the year of 2017. My friend Peter Schäublin, of Schaffhaussen, Switzerland and I have produced one every year since 1998. Missing only two years. Peter is an exceptional graphic designer, and a photographer himself. These are the first outlines.

I went to the track today again. I am having trouble staying away. I meet so many talented and nice photographers every time, and I learn so much that I never knew before. Or even thought about. It is exciting, never the same. But it is getting colder. For horses, jockeys and the audience. This morning it was 0 degrees and there were frost also in the city. Brrrr! I wonder how the jockeys keep warm during the races? Some were not even using gloves. I have heard that this is also a winter sport. Brrr, again! The jockeys are so short and small but oh SO strong. You see them more standing than sitting during a race, and often almost without rest they change clothes/colors and horse and they are off again. Supermen AND women!
If I remember right the next race is an evening race. Colder and darker, much darker. It will be all lights around the track. A real challange for photographers at maximum ISO. Today I have also recorded sound. Hope to use it with some images soon.

To all of you out there, followers, visitors, readers and more, THANK YOU! You are my inspiration. I was recommended by a friend to start blogging. I didn´t know really what it was and I only had a vague idea. Until you try you no nothing, so I tried. It is something I really enjoy, and the contact with you inspire me. I read more articles about photography and photographers and I see what you do. As much as possible I try to visit your blogs to see what you are up to. What really strikes me is all that positive energy you have. Sharing all your tips and ideas for a better day, life. If we just could collect it and spread it over the world everything would be better.
As with everything else, it starts with ourselves. Let´s spread the word and the positive energy, and let´s hope it is infectious.
Some weeks ago Rechito wrote “You make the normal look beautiful!” Thank you!!! I am still feeding on that.

Today I stopped and picked up the black glove that I have been seeing in Sveavägan for many days. I finally did it. It has been run over by thousands of cars during rain and shine. A woman walking her dog was looking very suspiciously at me. 😉 Other gloves are coming in from friends. I will let you know how it all develops.

I have just started this project that I have been thinking of for a long time. Unique, no. But I will do it my way as usual. I have been looking, searching for gloves some time and I will continue to do that. To find the interesting gloves. The ones with a history. Again I am asking, looking for the history. Who used it, when and why?
Gloves are used for painting, gardening, in the garage etc etc. I find them in the streets. Sometimes. Some I have used myself. But wherever they have been used they have a story to tell.
They, the gloves, are often made for a specific reason, use. To stand water, gas or just to keep your fingers clean.
Builders using concrete use gloves. Of course!
